4 things to include on your website
A website is the most important real estate online you could invest in for your business. If you’re not so tech savvy, the idea of getting online is definitely stress-inducing. Here are some things to include on your website – the must haves – and what is extra and unnecessary.
1. Your passion story
This is your why. Why is important to show your potential clients why you do what you do, and how you can offer them what they want. All of this comes from a place of authenticity - most people who have their own businesses do it out of passion, which turns into a business.
2. Pictures of you and your team
Authentic pictures of you and your team helps to build trust. Clients want to know who they are meeting and conversing with. This isn’t the time to grab some royalty-free images; you are your brand! It’s worth investing in a few hours with a photographer for shots that you can use across your website and then later on social media. Give your business some credibility.
3. Testimonials and reviews
Credibility and authenticity is the name of the game, and testimonials and reviews are one way to boost them. There’s no harm in soliciting testimonials from happy clients - whether that’s from a review online after making a purchase, or you reaching out to long-term clients and flat-out asking. Once you’ve had them through, put them up on your website! Shout about it - you’ve solved someone’s problem so let the world know.
4. Keyword-driven content
If you are constantly adding new products to your site, you’ll likely be familiar with putting in rich keywords in the descriptions. This will increase your chances of being discovered organically on Google.
For a service-based business, you may think your site is simply a business card that doesn’t need maintenance or updating. In this instance, a blog or news section of your site is useful to give you more opportunities to include rich keywords.
Where do you find those rich keywords, I hear you ask? That’s where we come in, 9 Dragons Digital. We’ll do the hard work and gauge what keywords are high-performing and offer suggestions and ways for you to include them in your website copy, blog copy or overall content on your site.
Other factors
Mobile responsiveness! Many users nowadays are looking at your website on their phones and tablets, so it’s important your site looks good on a small screen.
Google. Google Analytics and Google My Business are both important tools to let the search engine know your business exists. Analytics is useful to keep track of how and where users are coming from.
Prominently place your social media icons. This goes back to credibility and authenticity. Can users easily find your social media platforms to gauge if other users are shopping or engaging your services?
We get it, all of this sounds like a chore, and it sometimes can be. But that’s what we do at 9 Dragons Digital - we’ll take the burden off your shoulders and handle all of your digital needs. Contact us today.
